Fran Cathcart is a two-time Grammy-winning producer, guitarist, and engineer, with over 20 years of experience in a career that has spanned genres, including classical, hip hop, jazz, rock, folk, and R&B. He has a BS in Music from New York University, and began exploring the art of audio engineering with his own compositions. His deep love of music continues to fuel his creative explorations. 

Fran and Lou Holtzman joined forces in 2002 to relocate Eastside Sound from its original location on Allen Street to its current home at 150 Forsyth Street. Fran is thrilled to be able to continue the Eastside Sound tradition with a new generation of artists and offer an independent, professional venue for ensemble recording in Manhattan.
